The leading mobile company Nokia has introduced the concept of "Recycling" . when I was going to the nokia care nearby there was a person wearing a green shirt which says 'we recycle'. Then I watched around and I found a box which says drop your "unused mobile here".
It made me so happy that the leading major companies are bringing the Green revolution.

No a days Green+Innovation=Grennovation is so popular that more companies like Wipro ,Dell, Nokia are introducing their products in Green and with low carbon emission and called as Environment Friendly.

Global 1000

Organizations will increase the innovation spending in the time of recession which took place in this recession 2009 also.
In the Booz&Companies annual study of R&D spending 2009, Profits down but spending is steady.
More than 2/3 of the companies maintained steady spending or increased the spending on R&D.
What ever happens companies will invest in their R&D. It will give the competency and differentiation from their competitors.
Toyota is the top R&D spender in this year and maintaining its position top in straight 3 years .Then Nokia came to the picture from the 4th rank to 2nd from the previous year.Even if the companies are in losses(1/3 in this year) investing in the R&D to be in pace with their peers. This report will give you the info how the companies are investing in R&D and how they are making the profits out of it.

New Age Of Competition

Who is selling the most number of cameras in India?
Sony? Canon? no. The answer is Nokia but its main business is in Mobiles which has been replacing cameras by it cam-mobiles.
Now, what prevents the cellphone from replacing the camera outright? Nothing at all.
Who is the biggest in music business in India? You think it is HMV or Sa-Re-Ga-Ma? Sorry. The answer is Airtel. By selling caller tunes (that play for 30 seconds) Airtel makes more than what music companies make by selling music albums (that run for hours).Incidentally Airtel not a music company but a telecom service provider.

By these examples we can understand that the competitors wont be in the same industry but also from different industries. we never known. In olden days the competition is in vertical order but now it has changed such a way shown in the picture. The direction would be in vertical or Horizontal or Diagonal, name it and it would be in a difference shape altogether and this is unpredictable.
For example if we take the case of Aviation industry from India to any other country. All of us think that the competition is among British Airways?Singapore airways? or Indian Airways Kingfisher,Jet Airways, Air India for that matter? Not at all. The answer is video conferencing services of HP and Cisco. So do you think the competition is only between airlines?

India has two passions. Films and Cricket. The two markets were distinctly different. Then camso IPL and the two markets collapsed into one.IPL brought cricket down to 20 overs. Suddenly an IPL match was reduced to the length of 3 hours movie. So cricket become the competitor for films. On the eve of IPL movie halls ran empty

So this is the Age where the competitors are coming not only from their industry but also from other industries as well and this is new age of Competition.

Ways To Cultivate Creativity

As this is my first post I am speaking about Creativity
Here are 9 practices I personally use to help me in ‘cultivating’ creativity.
Practice:
1.Being Relaxed -

Take a moment to do something that makes you happy; that brings you joy; that you love; that centers you. Meditate, take a walk, go for a swim, read something that puts you in a good mood, journaling - writing down your thoughts (this can be so rewarding!).
2.Gratitude -

Thinking about all things you are grateful for produces a positive energy flow and vibration. As you feel the love in your heart for all the wonderful blessings and gifts in your life, you will instantly relax and feel all warm-and-fuzzy inside. In that moment of warmth and love, you are open to creative energy.
3.Tickling Your Imagination -

Imagination is highly visual. I’ve found it helpful to practice seeing vivid images with my eyes closed.Try it. Close your eyes, and imagine that you are in a scene, any scene. Okay - pick your ideal scene, practice seeing the details of your environment in this scene. See the colors, the textures, touch something. What does it feel like? What do you hear? What do you smell? What is the temperature like? Etc.
4.Being In the Moment -

Every outstanding musician or artist will tell you that when they are creating great music or art, there are no thoughts, they are completely in the moment, and experiencing flow. Athletes call this ‘being in the zone‘. You can practice present moment awareness by giving full attention to whatever you are doing: eating, washing dishes, making your bed, etc. Meditation helps tremendously. The book “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle is also highly recommended.

5.Being Inspired -

Practice seeing beautiful things that moves you emotionally. Flip through a book containing thought provoking images, go to an art gallery, read something inspirational, talk to someone who calms you.
6.Drawing -

This may sounds funny, but one of the effective ways to practice getting in touch with your creative side is to start drawing. Drawing forces you to see things differently. I highly recommend the book “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” and the workbook by Betty Edwards. This book was designed for people who has never drawn before. I first heard about this book from a psychology textbook. I have gained much from its insights.
7.Seeing Alternatives -

Be curious. Practice asking yourself how to do something differently. When seeing the solution to a problem, ask yourself, “What are some alternative ways to doing this?“. Develop the mental attitude that “there is always another way” even when alternatives seem ‘impossible’.
8.Being Open -

Never shut down any idea that comes your way, do not make judgments about it. Appreciate any idea that comes to you, even ones that seem “stupid” or “obvious”. This way, you encourage more creative ideas to surface from your being.
9.Think on Paper -

With a bunch of loose paper (or notebook, I prefer loose paper so you don’t feel restricted that you have to keep the page ‘straight’ and organized.), start jotting ideas down. Write everything down that comes to your head: random words, phrases, ideas, thoughts… sometimes you might want to circle things and draw lines to connect ideas. When an inspiration hits, follow it. If you suddenly have a different idea, jot it down somewhere on the page or in a new page. This is how I construct blog articles. I start with ideas and points, sometimes really crappy points at the start, and once I fall into ‘flow‘, the article will take shape before my eyes
